The land for St. Bartholomew Cemetery was donated by the daughters of Barthelemy Duverje on December 22, 1848. The Marist Fathers puchased the land for St. Mary's on December 5, 1866. Our cemeteries follower the Rules and Regulations of the  Archdiocesan of New Orleans Cemeteries. The cemeteries are owned by Holy Name of Mary Church and not the Archdiocese of New Orleans.  

Anyone who wishes to perform work in our cemeteries must first apply for a permit. This permit must be approved by the rectory before any work can begin. Completed permit applications may be dropped off at the rectory or sent to us via email.
